Philadelphia By Night
Artwork by Ggatz.
Young man, apparently in his late 20’s, but his eyes betray many more years. He carries an easy presence and dresses in decidedly well-cut clothes that suit a business life. His eyes convey a veiled humor, as if he’s privy to secrets you’re not.
He was living north of the city, traveling from town to town and feeding discreetly. Morris is known to have been operating for at least 50 years, and perhaps longer. He claims to have memory of life in the Northeast when Frederick Douglass conducted speeches to accumulated crowds. He believes in liberty, but he also believes the Carthian Movement needs to fight together as one community. It needs fewer individualists and more brotherhood.
